Statues can signify many things, from celebrating famous people and historical events to demonstrating devotion to religious figures. But what is the biggest statue in the world?
There are many amazing such landmarks around the globe, from the Statue of Liberty in New York (43m high) to the statue of David by Michelangelo (5m) and Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer. But these are tiny in comparison to some of the biggest monuments.
So how tall are the biggest statues in the world, and where could you find them? Here are the top 10 biggest statues in the world by height.
