It is kind of sexist and out of date now, but if you want a book about social skills and persuasion, then you’d still be hard pressed to beat it. Carnegie’s basic message boils down to, ‘If you want to understand the world, see it from other people’s perspective.’ That’s a key message that’s run through the whole of psychology. It’s a fantastic book.
