Aspiral clock

Clock hands are so last century – here’s how to keep time in 2010. This wall-mounted timepiece tells the time by the position of a coloured ball on its face. The face rotates clockwise over a 12-hour period and the ball gradually rolls along the spiral ledge. After 12 hours, it drops through the hole in the centre to start its journey again. It’s simple to read: on the green clock below, the ball is three-quarters of the way between four and five, making it 4:45. See, simple. You just have to look outside to find out whether that’s AM or PM.
