How do we know the temperature at the centre of the Sun?

Though currently impossible to go there and take measurements, we can estimate the core temperature of the sun using maths.

Of course, no-one will ever go there to find out for certain, but we can still be pretty sure that it’s around 15,000,000°C. That’s the figure obtained from detailed mathematical models of the interior of the Sun, which have successfully explained features we can observe about both the Sun and other stars.
