Are there homosexual animals?

Homosexual behaviour has been observed in at least 1,500 different animal species. In fact, no species has actually been demonstrated to show no incidence of homosexual behaviour at all, apart from those that don't actually have sex. And it's not just about sexual gratification: male penguins have been shown to mate for life and build nests together, even using a stone as a surrogate egg.
