What use is the LHC now they have discovered the higgs boson particle?

Probably further runs to replicate and confirm, though they've probably got sufficient data to make the announcement that they have done. As for what else, other experiments involving high energy particle physics is about the best I can say.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.

Finding the Higgs Boson is just the first step in expanding our general understanding how our universe works and how we can come to understand such fundamental things as gravity.

Which would completley revolutionise technology on so many levels. ;)
