Star Trek Holodeck

Postby MikeG » Jun 19th, '12, 21:01

Star Trek inspired tech is constantly in the news lately. We discussed plans for building the Enterprise in 20 years, the Tricorder is a step away from reality, Chinese scientists are teleporting atoms over large distances, and now, Japanese scientists have come up with "touchable" holograms. Meet the Holodeck Mark 1.

I somehow think the holodeck would have seen much more use along the 7 of 9 line or truly epic adventures and not the severely under utilised place - play rehearsal, dull stories or interactive gym - it seemed to be.

Don't think I'll be trading in the PS3 anytime soon.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.
