Sadly fusion really isn't working out for us @@.
If it was it would have had massive amounts of funding piled upon it by now but the truth is, the theory outperforms reality.... at least in the foreseeable future.. and if we want a future we really do have to get on with it and work with what we have got that we know will work.

Ok climate change is a big problem, I get that, but the world population is set to hit 7 billion any day soon and and increasing number of those people want energy to run their homes, businesses, cars, toys you name it, and where is all that energy going to come from?
A multitude of wind farms?

It has had massive funding though I suppose it could always have more, however, despite all the funding it has had so far it is still a long ways from being a viable form of power generation. It honestly looks as though it is decades down the road unless there is some unexpected breakthrough soon.

Like Mr M says, we can't wait for what might be great somewhere in the future, we prepare now with what we have.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.
