Given that in my experience the armed forces have a policy of total denial when it comes to such things I find it hard to see where such evidence might originate? Certainly air-force pilots have 'gone to the press' but they almost certainly lack any authority beyond 'I cannot explain what I saw' and have no official backing at all.

I am ashamed to admit that I (in my foolish youth) wasted quite a lot of time, effort and indeed far too much of my own money trying to find evidence of what UFO's might be about. Only to find myself, with unerring regularity, disappointed by the painful fact that the closer I got to a so called 'sighting' the less evidence, witnesses or indeed actual credibility there seemed to be. ;)

Ive done some research but not really convinced on the whole. I did find the disclosure project fascinating based on the ammount of content being spewed forth, testimonials etc as well as the number of what I would deem strange or interesting testimony found on the web, to which yes I could put much of it down to those easily lead, tapping into the conspiracy theories, so called videos of craft etc on youtube, none of which seemed very convincing. I did find the Pheonix Lights of interest more so because of the changing testimony of the ex-Arizona governer, however when you dig deeper you're more than likely to find personal interests (the guy has a book out I believe haha) involved in many cases as you also concluded. I also found the releasing of classified documents about UFO's by differing governments around the world of interest, prob moreso that they were classified for so long, as well as some articles about the French Sigma/3AF, GIEPAN and COMETA reports as mentioned previously to be of interest.

Just recall that these were initially a national security issue where the objects could have been very terrestrial craft from the enemy camp, such documents will be classified as a matter of routine. Tis only now with almost any light being taken to be a UFO and called in that investigating everything is a mammoth and largely fruitless task, hence for budget reasons the MOD closed down that dept.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.
