Solar powered toy

Postby IQN870 » Jan 27th, '12, 14:38

For Christmas my son was given a solar powered robot.
The instructions state it will work when left in full sunlight or held under a halogen light source.

It won't work when exposed to any other light source such as an LED torch or an energy saver bulb.

If light is made up of photons, what's difference does it make as to how they are emitted?
