Some advice for logging onto the new forum.

Site Migration

Postby M Paul Lloyd » Aug 27th, '11, 08:44

You may have experienced a few problems logging onto the forum over the last 24 hours and this was due to the site being 'migrated' to a new server.

I should really have given you some prior warning but by the time I realised what was happening it was already too late.

Anyway everything should be back to normal although I note that our Avatars don't seem to be working but I'm sure that can be sorted in due course.

Meanwhile please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. :)

Thanks for the notice. Mr S seems to have an avatar, elitism or what?

There's also an alert appearing at the top of most pages:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /viewtopic.php on line 1090: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/London' for 'BST/1.0/DST' instead

I have not touched any timezone settings, so is this indicative of something untowards?

I think we need to reload our avatars manually Mr.H and to be honest I just haven't got around to doing mine yet.
As for the text and what flashes up on each page as it opens I have no idea as to its origin but I have informed Focus central, although our main IT man is on holiday until the 6th so we may just have to put up with it for a few days.

Again, I do apologise for any inconvenience caused. ;)

Yes, I am sorry about that Nails, it is being worked on and the only reason myself and Mr.S have one is because we have admin access.
Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly. :?
