OK, if his "subliminal" messages only work on some suggestible people, how come they always work on the audience members he picks at "random"?

It only worked on some of the audience. About 50% of them I reckon.

I don't think anything on the TV is ever 'random' these days.
It's all rehearsed and preplanned, even the so called 'spontaneous' man in the street interviews. ;)
