...Same here! Tried both IE and Mozilla. No luck. Found the Total Immersion website and all the examples there work brilliantly. What's up FOCUS ?

Could your firewall be getting in the way?

You guys are getting further than I am.
I don't even see where to download the plugin.
It says 'download the software below...' all I see below is three pictures and the video.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 on Ubuntu 10.04

Not here sorry, but then my web-cam is in a draw somewhere ................. goodness knows where? :?

I'll have a word with Focus Central, see if they can find the source of the problem. ;)

The download is accessible by clicking on a link contained in the word 'here', from "Click here to download the D'Fusion Web Plug-in setup." I can see it and I also use Firefox, so I'd reckon that if the link is not active for you it must be at your end that the problem lies, perhaps some security add-ons in Firefox?

Yes, is it working for anyone? That at least would indicate where the problem lies.

I don't have the mag so I cannot tell.

Hi all....

This may sound like I am ridiculously stating the obvious but we had a problem with it on the Macs but then re-started the computer and it worked fine! Good old fashioned tactics ey? ;)

I've just had word from Focus Central and apparently

"it’s probably due to the fact that on IE8 it’ll popup the “Active ActiveX Component” popup, which requires you to click yes before it’ll load the actual application.. We’ll update the page with some additional info regarding this"

which has I believe been installed and all should be working fine now.... I hope? ;)

Works ok for me, XP SP3, Firefox 3.6.3.

I did notice that had to get the focus pretty sharp on the web cam and also that the lighting had to be pretty good too, I guess it need to have a good picture to be able to identify the magazine pages.

However I would add to that Mr M, the fact that it is working for others does suggest that your problem Mr grahamw is very likely on your end and there is nothing anyone can do.

Won't work for me either. :( Using Vista and tried both Firefox and IE. Firefox just stops on "Loading Scenario" screen, and IE says "Error when loading the player, please restart the application or contact support." I've restarted the application, but I'm not wasting my time contacting support.

DUDE, THIS IS ANNOYING. I WANT TO SEE IT!

Apologies marymc. :?

Have you checked that your security levels are not set too high? Of maybe the pop-up blocker? I'm clutching at straws here as I'm not really up to speed with this AR stuff myself sorry. ;)

I am using Mac OS X.

The Spider/Astronomy thingy on the Cover/Page 49 respectively did not work on any of Firefox, Safari, Opera, or Chrome. During the Total Immersion setup, the process seems to stop at what I presume to be the end of the setting up process. A pity. :(

But the Dinosaur thingy on page 103 worked beautifully. :)

I also have this exact problem. I have tried several browsers, disabled all firewalls and updated everything I can think of (even my built in webcam's Firmware).

The problem appears to be something to do with the plug-in attempting to enable the webcam. I have an LED next to my webcam which comes on when it is in use, this does not come on when attempting to load the scenario. Other web-enabled applications are able to initialise and use the webcam with no problems (http://www.chatroulette.com is an example)

Interestingly, if the AR page is refreshed after it hangs, the webcam is enabled for about a second before it goes off again and the process hangs in the same place.

In firefox, if the add-in is disabled after the process fails to load, a menu becomes apparent behind the AR frame. This lists available webcams but it is impossible to select one as the add-in is not running. Re-enabling the add-in and refreshing the page then leads us to the same stalled window.

Hope this additionall information is useful to someone and that this can be fixed.
