What do you think of the latest Focus?

So what do you think? It's a bit bright but at least it's not pink and I am assured it is easier to use whilst providing more flexibility for the the more creative poster with less limits on image sizes and video streaming.. whatever that is. ;)

I loved that god damn pink!

One thing that bothers me (And really shouldnt) is the fact nowhere in the URL does it actually state this is the focus forum...? It makes it look...I dunno, non focusy!

It may change a little when all work is finally complete, some tweaks are still going on I believe so give it some time to bed down, and let us all now how it is working and looks for yis all.

Nice, it's quite slick. It's odd getting used to our person info on the right instead of the left... but at least we all get avatars now :)

Does anyone else think these new smilies are a bit alien-shaped... ?

I've found that a change of forum software is usually for the benefit of those in charge, rather than the members.
Losing everything that has been written before seems quite a price to pay for some minor extras.

Unfortunately we'd already lost the last 5 years worth of stuff from the old forum in September 2008, so it's not a huge loss.

I'm experiencing a few problems and hope someone can help because there doesn't appear to be any way to pm the admin.

When logging in to the main site I keep having to accept the check box for t&c etc. Unfortunately the t&c link doesn't lead to anything.

The main issue I have is that I would like to change the email address associated with my account, however all I get is 'The e-mail address [my new email] is not valid in phpBB.'

Why do you need to log in twice for both the main site and the forum? Wouldn't it make more sense to have just a single log in?

The 'edit account settings' section of the forum doesn't do anything and redirects you back to the main forum page.

love the new look forum apart from the password thingy and some areas you can't get into but other than that things can only get bettter. I was only on the old forum for a year ( i think ) before the big wipe yes a lot of good material was lost during that dark time but im sure from the ash's will grow a bigger and better forum boldly going were no forum has gone before (opps ST moment there  ;) )

It's nice!

Edit: By the by, the clock is set incorrectly.

Also, could I have this account set to my other email address by any chance?

Rest assured we are working on it Flip, fact is some of our critical Admin permissions have not been activated yet!!??

So apart from the clock being set at universal time plus one hour (which is worse than it not being there at all in my book) we are having problems helping people modify their login details, e-mails, user names and such.

I have made a request that this be resolved, either by us or Focus central but in the meantime I can only offer a sincere apology for the obviously frustrating inconvenience caused.

Just noticed something on the home page in the forum, were it stated the last post made it doesn’t say what post it was made in (like in the old forum ) it only says who the poster was. Probably me just being lazy but i found it better that in the old forum you could see what the last post answered was and not just who posted it just a observation not a criticism :)

A fair comment Nemesis and I have to admit I prefer the old system on that score. I'll see if it can't be altered somehow. :)

Can't do a big smiley so ill do a line instead :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ;) if you can't Paul no problem like i said just an observation more than anything. :) Looking at it from the otherside so to speak it might be a good thing that it only says the poster that way everyone has to browes each form ;)
