What an amazing discovery ! We're so used to thinking of neanderthals as almost thuggish and hairy, and yet here they are going out hunting, tarted up like Joan Collins !

Joan Collins as Neanderthal woman .................. yes, a scary image that. :mrgreen:



Actually the only real difference (as I see it) between Neanderthals and Homo-sapiens was that they made their beads by filing a groove around the outside and we drilled a hole right through them.

So we presumably had better tool acumen but not necessarily better dress sense .......... or better lippy. ;)

well neanderthals weren't able to have the variety of sounds that we can make, their larynx was crap.. so language was the difficulty here.

It is assumed that although theneanderthals were more robust and stronger, they were pushed to the edges of europe (Portugal) where they became extinct about 50,000 years ago.. but it has long been assumed that they may have interbred with humans... (CHAVS)

as humans with heavy set brows, and thick leg bones etc have been discovered
