It is a bit slow to get going isn't it?
But that's the British climate for you, after all we do live at a latitude what should give us tundra like conditions with long bitterly cold winters and short mild summers and yet we can support vineyards in the summer (when the weather is favourable obviously) and rarely suffer extremes of cold that Canadians (on the same latitude) experience.
I recall some equally cool seasonal spingtime extremes about forty years ago and yet people were complaining it was too hot just a decade or so back.
