Ongoing login difficulties?

Postby Shadowwolf » Aug 24th, '09, 16:02

Hi all,

There are still users finding themselves being hoofed out without warning from the forum after logging in. This nuisance can quickly become quite annoying, especially if it happens whilst attempting to post; it most definitely detracts from the user experience.

To try and ascertain where the fault lies could those who are finding themselves experiencing this difficulty — despite the remedies suggested in the previous topic — please state briefly what OS, browser you use, any additional security add-ons you use might also be helpful. Hopefully we can see if there is any commonality with those experiencing difficulty.

Cheers
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.

I kept getting 'kicked out' after logging in but that was using my preffered browser of mozilla firefox and have tried it using internet explorer and so far seems to be okay. Don't know if this will be of any help or if anyone knows a away I can get it to work in firefox

A good idea New Mercury, thanks for the input.

I am currently using Firefox and am managing ok, at least after I reset my cache to empty every time I log off but others using the same system are still suffering problems.

I also note that Yahoo seems to work ok, but my spellchecker doesn't work on there so it is is all but useless to me. ;)

Well isnt that a *******. I havent posted since my last post simply because right after i log in, it signs me out again! That is using firefox. I come back to try again, see this topic, try it on Internet Explorer, and it works!

But i hate Internet Explorer and would rather not have to use it every time i want to come on these darn forums! :P

I've solved my problems by not using either IE or FF.

Just changed to Google Chrome and it's pretty damn good.

Just an update on the current status of the forum. Some of you might have experienced some problems logging into the site, pages hanging or freezing up etc. Rest assured Focus has its best people onto it and everything should be running smoothly by the time you read this message.
However if you are experiencing any difficulties please let us know. ;)
