I come bearing links!

Been looking elsewhere to see if I could find any clarification and wound up at another forum who were puzzling over the matter also. A forum that the good man himself appears to frequent and where he has explained further his comments. The first link is one he supplied to an article for under-grads and the second is his more in-depth response on that forum under the handle 'becox'.

Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.

Many thanks Shadow! Nice to hear from the man himself.
I confess though that I do feel that some of it is just presented as "that's the way it is"; and it's probably justified in a short summary, since I'm sure the proof is extremely complicated. It is tempting to give up on quantum physics at moments like this, but I will persist!
It seems the kind of thing to me that would be better explained face-to-face, so that questions could be asked when they come.
