Why is it that when you place more than one food item in the microwave the longer it takes to heat up? Is this because the other food items block the intensity of some microwaves when it hits the food?

Can I win a half marathon?

I am 29, I am 5 foot six, I'm not a big runner at the moment, but I'm willing to start. And I'm wondering what the chances are of me winning the Reading Half Marathon?

This years winner was from Kenya and did the 12.5 mile run in 1 hour 3 minutes.

What training would I need to do this? I'm pretty skinny, so do I need to work out in order to achieve this? ...

We often read about the different plants and animal species taken on board the ISS to see how they behave in zero gravity. Have they ever taken fish or algae aboard the ISS? Both are already used to living in zero gravity, and could be used as a source of food and oxygen.
