Hi Longpants, sad to hear that you're having problems with the app.
Now that you've reinstalled it most problems should be fixed - iTunes remembers that you've downloaded issues before, even if they disappear. So if you touch 'buy' and go through the process of buying them again you'll get them back and you won't be charged, there will be a message to recognise that you've already purchased them before.
