Thank you flak for permanently burning an image into my mind's eye...

How about a compromise...

Just a thought. How about a kids section covering basic areas ( a little like a focus newsround ;) ), as i've noticed a few of the younger generation have now joined the forum. Would seem appropriate that they get a section incorporated in the mag somehow could increase circulation also just a thought :)
Yes, I agree there should be a part for us, kids (WE'RE PART OF THE WORLD ARENT WE    ???). I need to agree that I sometimes dont understand what you people talk about in the formus (Science Talk, ooooooooooo, FREEAAKYYY ;) ). So, is there any chance WE could get a part for kids. (I know you're there MPL, You've got some impact on the mag don't you, , buuuaaaahahahaha!!!!

How about a small section in each issue highlighting the where a current accepted theory doesn't quite work. A little reminder of why we have to question, why we have to doubt.

Because it wouldn't last long?

Seriously, I don't think there are that many, take evolution which is the currently accepted best explanation for the development of life on Terra. Now there may be some fuzzy areas within, but these grey areas do not bring the entire theory of evolution into doubt, they do not lend sufficient reason to question the validity of evolutionary theory as a whole.

Nor do I think it necessarily good to imply that because there is some niggling issue the entire theory should be in doubt, it's because of thinking along those lines that some people happily ignore current science. They take that doubt and dismiss the theory in favour of some other unproven idea or will wait for the theory to be overturned by something more to their liking whilst still dismissing the current. There is a fine line between reminding and creating articles that may imply science is just wrong, New Scientist probably thought their "Darwin was Wrong" cover was a good idea.

If one wanted to have a little reminder of why we should question and doubt one could look to the world of woo, however we may have enough skeptical publications that solely deal in those realms.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.
