David Attenborough pointed out that if they had tried filming in the den the mother Polar Bear would probably have killed the cubs or the cameraman.
Personally I would go with both being killed, along with anyone else within easy reach! :shock:

There is also the possibility that even the smell of a human in a den can lead animals to kill or abondon their young.

One thing that strikes me about this is that apparantly, the BBC gave the secret away in a 'making of' clip, so how they can be accused of faking it is just stupid.

I think it was the polar bears dad that was doing the filming, and he called up the newspapers trying to cash in.

I think Liam has made a valid point there, an opportunity for yet another dig at the BBC by people who view it, and all who work for same, as some sort of government 'tool'. :shock:
