Extreme worlds

What do you think of the latest Focus?

Extreme worlds

While the article on "extreme worlds" was interesting I found the cover very misleading.

"Discover the most bizarre places in the cosmos" is fine apart from its all based on speculation and not proven fact. I get that things need to be hypothesized so scientists can try to work out what to look for to prove them. Perhaps a bigger emphasis on the techniques they plan to use to get closer to the truth seeing as we can't actually go there along with a less misleading set of headlines next time.
Bold claims. However, that which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

I................ am inclined to second that, I enjoyed the article none the less but yes Mr. Outlaw has a point I think. ;)

In point of fact our own local solar system has some pretty bizarre places as it is. :)

And not a million miles away either...

Personally, I'd like to know who cut the planet sized diamond. Perhaps there is a god after all ?

Most diamonds are ground these days Jamie. Find me a stone big enough. ;)

Mrs Nem wants the diamond planet as a ring might just be a tad big

Loved the mag this month all brillant stuff in it. One thing i did notice though, in the Your the expert slot (page 86 i think ), it asks
Could we build something that could last forever Answer the question above in a 100 words or less by May 7th and we'll print the best answers we recieve in next issue
all good stuff exactly as stated on the website. The problem i had with it was that if you didn't look at the website you wouldnt have know about the said question in time, as we only recieved the current months issue on the 7th May ( taps back pocket ) maybe were i work gets it later than other retailers although i would have thought not :?:
