Derivation or Speculation of E=mc2

Postby ajaysharma4 » Jan 14th, '12, 09:13

E=mc2 is well know in science.
It is speculated not derived logically.
For example see derivation
Einstein, A Ann. der Phys. 18 (1905) 639-641.

Hello there ajaysharma4, some mind boggling equations in there I see. :D

In the hope of cutting to the chase am I correct in thinking that this is based upon the principle that a hot body, whilst possesing greater energy has the same mass/gravity/inertia as a cold one? :?

Oh you again.

Sorry Mr M but I do believe this guy is just trying to drum up traffic for his equally incomprehensible site and not looking for any discussion, we certainly got none off his last posting here. Just another physics crank by the looks of things.

Well at least you've placed it in an appropriate place this time, under 'science fiction'.
Hope is but the first step upon the road to disappointment.

I did wonder.

Thing is, if I'm reading it correctly it is rather anomalous that a bodies total energy is not linked to its linked to its kinetic energy, and I'm just wondering if this isn't similar to how light can have energy but no inertia?
